STANDARD INLAY
Standard Inlay is adequate for many applications for a reasonable
price.
HIGH CARBON HIGH CHROME (HC,HC)
Solid D2 tool steel has excellent wear resistance. Used primarily for three-knife trimmers.
HIGH SPEED STEEL (HSS)
Bi-metallic composition consisting of one part 18% tungsten, high speed steel and one part standard grade steel. A
special fusion process bonds these two grades of steel together to produce an extremely wear resistant knife. Expect
three to five times the life of a standard steel knife.
MAXILIFE™ CARBIDE
An ultra fine grade, carbide tipped inlay is the most wear resistant knife on the market. Although not for everyone, applied in
the correct environment, you can expect 10 to 15 times the life of a standard steel knife.
Not every knife is available in every grade of steel.
